Did you know that Windsor was first called "WinCity" in 1937 when the then Mayor of Windsor had a meeting with
the Mayor of Chicago and the Windsor Mayor said he wanted a cool nickname for the city. Because Chicago had Windy City,
and the Mayor just closed a contract with notorious gangster Al Capone.
(The Windsor mayor had won the bid to supply the gangster with Canadian booze (because of USA prohabition) exclusively over the rivel city of Chatham.)
The Chicago Mayor joking called Windsor "WinCity" and it stuck.
